My name is Elena Remais and I am the owner of Custommade Fit. I have been teaching yoga, pilates, and personal training for over 10 years. My commitment to health and fitness has been with me most of my life, is very diverse, and reflects my physical interests and passions. I have never been a natural athlete, but have always enjoyed the outdoors and various activities such as hiking, biking, tennis, kayaking and running.
ENDURANCE TRAINING BACKGROUND
In later years, I started training for triathlons, half marathons and long distance cycling events. In training, I have gone from being the slowest—the bottom of my training pack, to moving myself up near the top. In off season times, I have started from scratch again. In short, I’ve been out of shape and have struggled with impatience. But I’ve also seen results with hanging in there, toughing it out and pushing through.
WHAT IT TAKES
Most of staying fit, sticking with a diet, or reaching and maintaining any goal, is mental tenacity and self encouragement… Being the “worst” and getting better…or allowing for an off day, its all part of the mental game. At Custommade Fit, we are here not only to train you, but provide you with the extra encouragement and support you need.
My clientele is quite diverse. I have worked in a number of studios, including a physical therapy/pilates studio for the past 8 years where I’ve seen various post rehab, chronic injury conditions, and dealt with such age diversities as late 30’s to upper 70s with various levels of fitness. I can challenge the very fit, get the out-of-shape in bettershape, and can work therapeutically and gently for those that require it or want that as a complement to other training.
