What is Yoga?
Yoga is much more than the weirdly twisted poses you might’ve seen on the cover of magazines. Derived from the Sankrit word “yuj” which means “to unite or integrate”; yoga is a 5000 year old Indian body of knowledge that includes meditation, philosophy, and guidelines for living a good life – within that is the harmonizing of mind, body and spirit as expressed through breathing and physical exercises known as asanas.
What We Offer
Some poses or asanas are more challenging than others. Custom-made Fit will guide you towards precision alignment that works with your body. As the whole process unfolds, your muscles strengthen while stretching as you tune into your breath.
All classes end with a short rest known as Savasana followed by a short meditation to seal in the mind-body-spirit connection.
In a private class setting, the level of poses and flow of the class will be adjusted to the needs of the client.
Privately and in a group setting this the general type of classes offered:
• Beginners Yoga – more basic and gentle
• Vinyasa Yoga – This type of class is all about fluid movement of the body with breath.
